Have you ever tried something new and thought: Hey! I’m super bad at this!

Totally me doing this website.

And then you show it to your husband AND HE DOES A JOLLY LAUGH AT YOU.

And that is the story of how he got poked with my squarest nail. #rude

Welcome to my website, friends!

  2. How can I become a foster? I live in Puyallup and I’ve been waiting for the humane society to give me my first fosters but they’re taking forever 😦 I want to help babies NOW!

      1. Hey Cookie!
Check my articles about Fostering 101 under the ‘Learn’ tab. Then, reach out to shelters near you and see if you can volunteer in their foster programs.
        Good luck!

  3. Hi Cindy! I’m in Seattle and I’m going to start fostering with SHS soon, mainly because watching you has been so fun and rewarding! (My volunteer orientation is in a week and a half.) I’m really interested in fostering bottle babies, moms with litters, or even pregnant kitties. Do you have to foster older kittens for a certain length of time in order to do that sort of thing? I love all of the stages of kitten development so I’m trying to maximize my time with them, ha!

    1. Hey Megan!
That’s so awesome! I hope you love it!!
The foster group will train you for any situation you are in. If you say you’d like to do bottle babies, they have special training set up for that. As far as I know, you don’t need to do “practice rounds” with other kittens, but I could be wrong. Either way, it’s always nice to have some easy litters to prepare you for the harder ones.
Best of luck and have fun!

    1. Thank you, Penny. That is so nice!
I’m actually in good shape when it comes to blankets, and don’t have a lot of room to store more. Maybe your local shelter could make better use of them than I could?
      Thanks for thinking of me!

  4. The brown kitty in the video of fight for the fingers…tuxedo look with two white front paws…is he available for adoption? He is nearly identical to my beloved Spike who passed about 4 years ago at the age of 20. Not trying to replace….but loved his demeanor💕

    1. Hi Judi!
We are not quite accepting applications for him and his siblings yet. They are still sick, and need to be cleared by the vet.

Seattle Humane will begin accepting adoption applications soon, though. I’ll post adoption details on both my Facebook and Instagram accounts when it’s time to apply.
      Stay tuned!

  5. Hello. Interested in the brown kitty and his siblings. I live in NC but willing to pick up. I’ve raised cats my entire life and currently have 4 beautiful adult cats and 1 – 2 yr. old cat. Always wanted brown kittens and would lovingly welcome 2 more in my home. My cats would love him and his sibling.💕
